Objectives
Our main objective includes and is without limit, the alleviation of poverty in South Africa.
The organisation is a voluntary association empowering ordinary South Africans to make a difference in the lives of individuals, animals, organisations and communities, by effecting a difference in quality of life with the main objective being sustainability.
The secondary objective is to generate income to support the work of the organisation through networking and association with community groups, individuals, companies and other organisations.
Why do we do what we do?
The Founders are personally involved and have over 25 years of experience in the charity segment and CSI space.
Coming from corporate, we realised an NPO certificate and Audited Financials were a necessity if you wanted to get any form of funding or assistance and we witnessed too many good hearted individuals struggling to help the needy because they did not have the knowledge or help to get these documents.
We vowed that we would set up our own organisation to be able to bridge the gap between these incredible individuals and companies wanting to make the biggest impacts. Corporates need an organisation they can trust, and hold accountable.
Covid-19
We have been blessed to have started our organisation just before lockdown and having been showed so much favour in what we have been able to achieve. We have witnessed first hand the devastation the lockdown has caused families.
We are reminded of a ‘middle class’ family who both lost their jobs, the mother cried when we delivered a food bucket and some baby formula as she had been feeding her baby sour milk as that is all they had.
We have seen many going hungry because their grants are not paying out or have lost their jobs or are not receiving any assistance from government. Children not eating cause their schools are closed.
The homeless are in even more dire situations as motorists and do-gooder’s are no longer able to help with disposable income. Too much food is being thrown away or rotting as supermarkets will only donate to organisations with an NPO certificate.
But the flip is that we have seen a lot of people coming together and wanting to help, even if its with the little they have available. Many families nominating their neighbours even though they are going hungry themselves.
They have in Covid-19 assisted in feeding over 52,000 hungry people and children in the first two months just through their networks

It is estimated that over 14 million people go to bed hungry in South Africa. These stats reported show that hunger is not race, creed or culture specific, but due to many complex issues within South Africa, social problems that have not been addressed adequately. Three of the leading factors are poverty, lack of education and unemployment which is still on the rise daily, these three factors are extremely complex to unpack, understand and address.
Whilst South Africa is food secure at national level, the country is still food insecure at household level as not all households have access to adequate food. Gauteng has the highest percentage at 84%, as it has the highest population density per square kilometer versus the rest of the country. Urban households have less access to food, than rural areas, as they can substitute their food with home own crops and vegetables.
Households have experienced an increase of unemployment, due to lack of skills, education and the ability to fit into a company’s culture. These poverty-stricken households lack income to purchase food and are unable to produce their own crops and vegetables. These household are characteristic by many dependents, creating greater pressure which results into violence.
Child hunger is a real challenge in South Africa. More than half a million households with children aged five years or younger experienced hunger.
According to a South African National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 28 per cent of households in urban areas were at risk of hunger and 26 per cent were already experiencing hunger. Roughly, it says, about 50 per cent of the South African population is food insecure or at risk of food insecure. This means in reality; that people will go for days without food to survive.
The result is that many adults and children are dying of malnutrition. And we need your help.

As part of raising awareness on the reality of hunger and poverty in South Africa we have joined forced to alleviate poverty and help decrease these numbers reported through feeding adults and children daily through our various “soup kitchen” networks in the Gauteng Province.
We ideally would like to feed in the 5 regions (north, east, south, west & central Gauteng) to not create silos of help. The ‘soup kitchen’ feeds people breakfast and lunch or supper daily and they are well established and have great links into all the communities in which they serve.
